Nina Atimah

Nina is currently HSBC’s Head of Risk Management for CMB and GBM in Asia.   She moved to Hong Kong five years ago after joining the Group in London. She has extensive knowledge in risk management, framework design and implementation, across multiple strands. She has experience in engaging internal and external  C-Suite stakeholders across Europe and Asia and is keenly exploring risk management in a digital age.

Since moving to HK, she has been instrumental in driving high-profile change initiatives across HSBC in the areas of diversity and inclusion. She currently co-chairs the ethnicity resource group for the Bank globally, and is working to connect other organizations to drive the equity and inclusion agenda.

 

Jessica Bartlett

Jessica Bartlett is the Director of Financial Crime Legal – APAC at Barclays and is based in Hong Kong.  Jessica advises compliance and legal teams, business lines and senior management across the APAC region on financial crime issues including economic sanctions, export controls, anti-money laundering, fraud, and anti-corruption.   


Jessica relocated from New York to Hong Kong in 2015.  Before joining Barclays in 2018, Jessica was an associate with Shearman & Sterling LLP and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.  Jessica clerked for the Honorable Sidney H. Stein, District Judge for the Southern District of New York.  Jessica holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois, Master of Arts in Philosophy from Brandeis University, and two Bachelors of Arts degrees in Art History and Political Science from Southern Methodist University.  Jessica is Chairman of the Board of Governors for the American Chamber of Commerce Hong Kong. 

O’Delle Burke

O’Delle Burke is the Head of J.P. Morgan Collateral Services Asia Pacific . Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Burke is responsible for global product innovation, execution of the business  strategy and development of collateral solutions for derivatives, repos and securities lending across the region.

O’Delle began his career with J.P. Morgan after joining the firm’s undergraduate management development program in New York in 1996. He spent 8 years within Finance for the firm’s Securities Services business, where he held roles in Client Profitability and MIS Analysis. After which he joined Investor Services where he served for 12 years and held various roles covering markets in Europe, United States and Canada. Prior to his current position, he was the Product Manager in the United States for J.P. Morgan Broker Dealer Services and Collateral Management.

He holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance, Business Management and Economics and is a member of the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (“ISDA”) and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (“SIFMA”).

Karim Chabane

Karim Chabane is a Director within Citi Futures, Clearing and Collateral division based in Hong Kong and Regional Head of Collateral Management for Asia Pacific. He has responsibility within Investor Services Division for all aspects of the margining and collateral management products to Citi's customers including Investors, Banks and Financial Intermediaries.
Karim joined Citi in January 2011 from Euroclear Bank, the International Central Securities Depository to take responsibility of regional product management of the Citi collateral management and administration services before taking the Regional Head role.
While at Euroclear, Karim spent two years as Head of Product Management for the Asia-Pacific region covering the full range of Euroclear's products and services, including settlement & custody, collateral management and fund processing.
Prior to this, Karim spent 18 years at Euroclear 's head office in Brussels and held various senior positions across Cash & Treasury Operations, Sales & Relationship Management covering London-based brokers and investment banks, Project teams for some major market and infrastructure initiatives as well as Product Management.

Ophilia Chow

Ophilia Chow is Senior Vice President in the Compliance division at DBS Bank (Hong Kong) Limited, where she advises the Treasury and Markets business on a wide range of regulatory and digital projects, and specializes in markets products compliance.  Prior to joining DBS, she worked in HSBC’s Debt Capital Markets, Interest Rates Institutional Sales, and Global Market Regulatory Compliance team in Hong Kong, New York and London.

She holds a Bachelor of Science (Finance and Economics) degree from New York University and a law degree from the University of Hong Kong. 

Billy Chu

Billy Chu is the Head of Technology and Operational (T&O) Risk for Airstar Bank, a virtual bank in Hong Kong. Billy leads the T&O risk team to establish and promote the adoption of bank-wide risk and control framework, drives Business Continuity Program, oversees information and cybersecurity risk and leads internal independent assessments.

Prior to joining Airstar, Billy has held various regional roles of IT audit, risk and compliance in banks, insurance company and consulting firm. Billy received an Information Engineering degree in the University of Hong Kong, and acquired professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CIA, CPA, CFE.

Michael Clarson

Michael Clarson leads Citibank’s GIU in APAC (based in Hong Kong) as APAC GIU Regional Head (aka Regional Director). Michael came to Citibank from Deloitte, where he was a Director in Deloitte Forensics, assisting clients by performing investigations related to money laundering, bribery and corruption and major fraud. In this role, Michael worked with clients in China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Russia, Easter Europe and the Pacific. Michael is a qualified Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), having worked in wealth management prior to joining the Australian Federal Police (AFP) as a Federal Agent. Michael’s focus in the AFP was multinational organized crime and money laundering investigations. After completing nearly 13 years in AFP, Michael completed his MBA at the Australian Graduate School of Management and then moved to Deloitte Forensics. In his current role, Michael leads the GIU across the APAC region, including teams in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Indonesia. GIU is a global team with responsibility for AML investigations involving complex and cross jurisdictional matters.

Mike Duncan

Mike has over 17 years' experience in financial markets, covering areas such as structuring, trading, portfolio management and risk management across Asia Pacific and Europe.
His most recent role was as a Director of Markets for The Royal Bank of Scotland RBS Capital Resolution team, managing the close-out and wind-down of RBS' non-core OTC derivative portfolios in Asia Pacific.
Previously, Mike had senior roles at Audley Capital Advisors, Bluecrest Capital, RBS and WestLB.

Christina Ellerker

Christina Ellerker is a Director, Regulatory Affairs and Reform with Citi’s Government Affairs in Asia Pacific.


Prior joining Citi, Christina was an Executive Director with the Office of Government Affairs at Goldman Sachs where she developed, managed and executed the firm’s government relations and public policy agenda in Asia Pacific. Before that, Christina was Head of Moody’s Asia Pacific Government and Public Affair where she oversaw matters with respect to regulations and interaction with regulators in the Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) region.


Christina was an Executive Director at and part of the team that set up the Asia Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (ASIFMA) where she was responsible for working with financial institutional members to promote the growth and development of Asia’s debt capital markets through advocacy with the regulatory community and fostering market best practices.


Christina, who is lawyer by profession, has also worked variously with leading Australian and Malaysian law firms and with News Corporation Asia, as corporate legal counsel. She plays an active role in ASIFMA (Public Policy Committee Member, co-Chair of the Data and Cybersecurity Working Group, former Alternate Board Member), the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (AMCHAM HK) (former Financial Services Committee Vice-Chair), ISDA (Asia Pacific Legal & Regulatory Committee) and was active in the APEC Business Advisory Council and the APEC Asia Pacific Financial Forum as well as the US ASEAN Business Council. Christina is an active advocate of diversity issues – she convened and chaired the Women in Finance Asia Forum and was a presiding judge of AMCHAM HK Women of Influence Awards.


Christina graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Sydney University, Australia and a Bachelor of Science from the University of New South Wales, Australia. She is admitted to practice as a solicitor in New South Wales, Australia and a barrister and solicitor in Malaysia.

Daryl Ho

Mr. Ho has been appointed as Executive Director (Banking Policy) of Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) in April 2017.  His key responsibilities include implementing international regulatory standards and banking policy making, including policy on green and sustainable banking.

An economist by training, Mr. Ho joined the Research Department of HKMA in 2001.  

Before taking up his present role, he had worked in various functional areas including monetary operations, market development, and financial stability surveillance. Before joining HKMA, Mr. Ho served in the investment banking industry as an economist between 1993 and 2000.

John Ho is the Head of Legal, Financial Markets for Standard Chartered Bank ("SCB"), overseeing and providing legal advisory, transactional and documentation support for Financial Markets (FM) business globally for Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), its branches and affiliates. He is a member of the Group Legal Management Team.
John Ho also plays an active role in implementing changes within the bank to conform to applicable OTC regulatory reforms impacting FM business. He has been involved in fostering closer working relationship and rapport with industry groups and regulators on key global and regional regulatory reform changes, including Dodd Frank, EMIR, CRDIV, FATCA, CCPs and Margin Reforms for Uncleared Derivatives.
Prior to joining SCB, John Ho was the Managing Director Principal in the legal department of Bear Stearns (Japan), Ltd ("Bear Stearns") where he supported the Asia franchise (including Tokyo, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Korea, India and South-east Asia) from January 2003 to August 2008 covering various structured products and derivatives including equity derivatives, credit derivatives, fixed income and commodities.
Prior to joining Bear Stearns, John Ho worked as Asia equity counsel for Lehman Brothers in Tokyo with experience dealing in convertibles, options, warrants, delta one products and other types of equity derivatives transactions, equity finance and equity capital markets.
John Ho is qualified as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore since 1995 and he received his law degree from the National University of Singapore.

Micky Lo

He is leading the regional team with the mission to enable business solutions while proactively protecting BNY Mellon from information risks in a balanced control environment. Sophie Marnhier-Foy

Sophie Marnhier Foy is the Director of Product Management for Margin and Risk at Calypso Technology. In her role, she designs the Calypso margin solutions to meet the various regulatory margin and clearing requirements. Currently, she is working very closely with Calypso clients implementing ISDA-SIMM to ensure that their compliance with the Uncleared Margin Rules for September 2019 and 2020 will be successful.

Ms. Marnhier-Foy is also in charge of Calypso Risk solutions including the regulatory, CCP, and counterparty risk offerings. Prior to this role, she held the position of Principal Product Manager for Calypso Middle Office solutions.

Before joining Calypso, Ms. Marnhier-Foy worked for Calyon (now Crédit Agricole CIB) in New York and Paris, working on Risk Management and Front Office project management. Prior to Calyon, she worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in Paris as a Bank Auditor.

Vicki Noblett

Vicki Noblett is Head of Regulatory Affairs and Regulatory Advocacy in APAC, working closely with regional and global stakeholders across the bank and externally on key regulatory matters.

Vicki relocated to Hong Kong in July 2012 to set up the APAC policy and advocacy function, and then established the Regulatory Management Group in late 2015 to support supervisory engagement across the region. She has been responsible for the combined areas from mid-2018. She joined DB in July 2010 in London, primarily focused on advocacy relating to prudential and crisis management policy reforms. Prior to this, she was a regulator in the UK for nine years in roles spanning policy development and implementation, international coordination, supervision and regulatory strategy.

Filippo Santilli

As of August 2018 Filippo heads up Liquidity & Segregation in APAC with a strong focus on UMR, derivatives, collateral administration and segregation.

Filippo worked for Morgan Stanley Investment Management in Luxembourg from 1999 to 2005, following which he moved to London and joined Lehman Brothers Asset Management in its start-up liquidity funds business, eventually spearheading efforts in Asia by moving to Hong Kong in 2007.

Jay is the Senior Vice President and APAC Region Information Security Lead within Information and Cyber Security’s Cyber Threat Management Team at Wells Fargo. He is based in APAC (Hong Kong) and responsible for information cyber threat management. He provides the regional information security assessments, incident response, threat intelligence, information security education and awareness training, and collaboration.

Jay Spreitzer has over 20 years of information security experience. Prior to moving to Asia he was the team lead for the cyber threat intelligence team for 11 years at Wells Fargo. Jay retired from the US Army, after 23 years of service working in various technology and information security roles. Roles included system administrator, database administrator, Information Assurance Security Officer, and culminating as Information Management Officer. As Information Management Officer, he managed and developed all facets of the organization’s information security program.

Jay holds a BS in Information Technology and a MS in Information Assurance and Security. He completed the Criminal Intelligence Analyst Course, and the FBI Citizen’s Academy. He holds GIAC Continuous Monitoring and Security Operations, Enterprise Defender, Digital Forensics, and Incident Handler certifications.

Jay is a member of InfraGard and the High Technology Crime Investigators Association. Jay has been an active member of the Board of Directors for the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association and Minnesota InfraGard. Prior to this, he was Risk Vice President of Fullerton Fund Management and Wolters Kluwer’s Asia-Pacific Risk Practice Director guiding regional risk and financial practices for its software clients. At OCBC Bank Group, Soon Kit was managing the risk of Global Treasury, Investment Banking, OCBC Securities and Bank of Singapore. He complements his expertise with international advisory experience garnered at financial software firm Misys / Finastra where he led the risk management teams to solve broader subjects of banking risk with financial firms, banks, regulators in Europe and Asia. Yojiro Yanagi is Head of Risk and Finance Advisory for the Banking Sector for SAS, overseeing the Asia Pacific region. He leads a diverse and experienced team to provide advisory services and implement the SAS Risk Management solutions for banking customers across the region.  

Yojiro has worked in this field since 1995, initially with IBM where he was mainly involved in providing consultancy services and pre-sales support for market risk and credit risk solutions.  

He joined SAS in 2014 to lead its Japan risk business with a key focus on credit risk, asset and liability management (ALM), and stress testing. He has successfully helped many large Japanese banks in deploying longstanding SAS risk management solutions.  

Currently, Yojiro holds a leading role in positioning SAS Stress Testing, Climate Risk, Basel IV and Model Risk Management solutions across the Asia Pacific market, and driving the go-to-market strategy in the region. 

Frederick Yip

Frederick Yip has been ZA Bank’s Chief Risk Officer since 2020 and has been additionally appointed as the Bank’s Alternate Chief Executive on top of this CRO role in 2021.  He heads five risk functions for the Bank, namely Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Technology Risk and Anti-Money Laundering. Frederick is an all-round senior risk executive, bringing over 20 years of experience and extensive regulatory knowledge in retail banking, corporate banking, consumer finance, private wealth and other business segments. Simon Young was Ping An’s Chief Compliance Officer (Overseas) and Group Head of Financial Crime Risk Management where he provided supervisory oversight with respect to regulatory compliance of Ping An group’s overseas businesses and led efforts to develop and employ AI-empowered advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities to detect and monitor financial crime risk for the group covering 40 business lines and 210 million customers.


Over the course of his 20+ years career, Simon has held a number of senior leadership positions in compliance, risk management and anti-money laundering compliance across financial services and fintech industries in Hong Kong and Mainland China.

Prior to joining S&P Global, Rong was a Senior Manager in PwC’s Strategy Consulting practice advising institutional investors and leading corporations across the US, UK, Europe and Asia. She specializes in sustainable investment, ESG integration and deal value creation strategies covering active and passive investing across all major asset classes and investment vehicles. Rong previously worked at PwC's New York and London offices before relocating to Hong Kong.
